The Gal to Gal Foundation

This Friday, Design-her Gals will be talking to Martha Stewart about The Gal to Gal Foundation, which is the first national organization to dedicate 100% of its resources for breast cancer patients diagnosed in Stage IV (this means that the cancer has spread to other organs of the body, most often the bones, lungs, liver, or brain).

For the month of October Design-her Gals will be donating $10 per printed order directly to the Gal to Gal Foundation. In addition to being able to order the coolest customized business cards, stationery and other paper products, they also have t-shirts and hoodies!

This year, the funds that are raised will be going to Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization whose mission statement is “To provide an opportunity for metastatic breast cancer patients’ dream or wish to be fulfilled by providing a special time of 'Making Memories' together with their families, a chance that might not have become a reality without the assistance of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation". In addition, they will be helping sponsor the first global internet site designed exclusively for patients in advanced stages of breast cancer.

The Gal to Gal Foundation believes that women diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer deserve a great amount of support in order to maintain their dignity while receiving treatment throughout the progression of their disease. Over 300,000 patients worldwide will lose their lives to Stage IV Breast Cancer this year.

The Gal to Gal Foundation is a Non-Profit corporation, meaning donations are tax deductible.

Checks may be written to the The Gal to Gal Foundation

What a great cause... Thanks for posting about it! And thanks for doing such a great job finding products and organizations that help fight breast cancer.
