Died and Gone to Lipgloss Heaven

I honestly think I have died and gone to lipgloss heaven! Have you seen the Some Like it Hot lipgloss set from Tarte? It contains 10, yes 10 mini lipglosses in a black and purple lace patterned case. Three interchangable connector pieces are also included so that you can mix and match your glosses, snap ‘em on and go!

With great names like pep, cayenne, and zip, these glosses are in shades of playful pink and sheer flirty neutrals.

Hold on a minute! I forgot to tell you the news…they are all cinnamon flavoured! Each lipgloss in this little kit has a sizzle as well as a sparkle! My favourite one out of the lot is actually named Sizzle too!

Wear them alone, try two together, have fun and you know….some do like it hot! $28.oo USD

A New Dimension of Wow!

Have you had the chance to try DuWop’s new product Browwow? This small but deadly kit is the item to have in your makeup bag when it comes to brow beautification.

This portable copper bronze compact comes with a colored brow powder, tinted finishing gloss, shimmer cream highlighter, mirror, and a double-ended brush. It’s hard to believe all this would fit into such a small package!

What I like about Browwow is that your brows look natural but...better, when using this kit.

I am the girl that over plucked her brows when she was a young teenager and never got them all back (sadly). By using a little of the powder in those sparse areas, I can give the illusion of a fuller brow and then I just smooth a little of the tinted pomade over my brow to keep those hairs in place. Adding the champagne highlighter to the brow bone with my finger makes my eyes pop! I have just added a new dimension of WOW! Thank you Duwop for creating this wonderful product!

Browwow comes in 2 shades lighter and darker – how easy is that?

Spring 2007 Beauty Trends

Hello all! Don't you feel that fall has just descended on us? I know it feels that way to me. It won't be long until Spring is here so why not see and hear what the experts are saying the trends will be next year.

Kristen Kelly from Beauty Addict (one of my fav blogs) spoke with Gucci Westman backstage at the Peter Som show in New York and has the scoop on what's hot for spring!

Here are two models from the Peter Som show. Very fresh faced and natural looking. Love the pretty lip - nice to see a little colour. I never looked good in a nude lip!

Frizz Be Gone

I am always jealous of the girl who walks past me with the incredibly glossy, smooth locks. I have tried SO many styling products that say they will control the frizz and have always been dissappointed. I tend to find that they do an O.K. job but my hair either fluffs up by the end of the day or starts to look greasy - yuk!

I recently purchased Kiehl's Silk Groom and was not sure if it was going to be another dud. I tried it and found out's really great.

All it took for me to get glossy, smooth hair was 3 blobs of this wonderful product, my blowdryer and a large round bristle brush. What I really love (apart from the dramatic change to the look of my hair) was the formula. It is so light weight that after applying the product to my hair, I did not need to run to the bathroom to wash any slime from my hands, nor did I have a greasy looking head of hair at the end of the day. Fabulous!

The Scoop:
Kiehl's Silk Groom is infused with a blend of natural oils derived from Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Seeds, and Soy Beans and enriched with Vitamin E.

A Week of Gloss - Day 6

I am now on Day 6 of my list of favourite lip glosses. I think to be honest that I could write 365 days worth of fav glosses!
Today's gloss I feel is quite a find - Lip Sugar is it's name and it is from the Tutti Dolci line at Bath & Body Works. This little gloss looks like a bon-bon and is so sweet! It is packaged in a candy wrapper and opens up to reveal a smooth sheer glaze on one side and a frosted gloss on the other. This gloss actually smells good enough to eat with it's Crème Brulee fragrance (can you believe it?!)

I love how the glaze is just that perfect neutral brown that adds a little oomph to your lips! It is perfect for day wear. There is also a pinky one too but I have not had the pleasure to try that yet.

Well I will be back tomorrow to tell you all about another gloss fav of mine. Take care.

A Week of Gloss - Day 5

Recently I tried Tarte's Rise & Shine Plumping Lip Stain in Cherry - my lips looked great!

This clever product is dual-ended and snaps apart. The first end has a waterproof pink stain that gives your lips a natural pink tone, the other end a pretty plumping gloss.

I found depending on the amount of stain I spread on my lips, the darker the colour. The gloss really makes the lips shiny and tingles slightly to get those lips pouty.

I highly recommend this gloss for those of you who want three products all rolled into one. At only $21 it's a steal!
