Create Skin That Acts Younger

As we get older our skin finds it harder to "spring back" into place and we start to get crow's feet, wrinkles around the mouth and sagging in the face - it's so depressing! What is happening is that the elastin in our skin is degenerating, causing these visible changes. It is elastin that gives our skin the ability to promote elasticity and keep our skin looking young and feeling firm - unfortunately our bodies stop producing this protein in our teens.

Revance Therapeutics of Mountain View, California, has developed Relastin, a product that increases the production of elastin and is available in an Eye Silk for the delicate skin under your eyes and Skin Revitalizer for your face. Relastin penetrates deeply into the inner layers of skin, working with your skin's own cells to promote the formation of elastin. Both items are proven to have visible results within four weeks.

"Relastin has a three-dimensional impact on the skin; until now, only treatments in a physician's office, such as lasers, fillers and Botox have been able to do that. It is a breakthrough that Relastin, a topical face cream, can impact the skin on this level." says Vic A. Narurkar, M.D., President of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery.

Relastin is fragrance-free and hypo-allergenic – great for people with sensitive skin.

Has anyone tried this? Does it actually do what they claim it does?

Kristen from Beauty Addict has tried it and loves it.

I have tried the Eye Silk and Face Cream and found that they both felt great on the skin and did not cause any irritation. I was able to see a change in the texture of my skin and my wrinkles around the eyes softened.

Thanks for your comment.

I use it every single day. I did not like the Skin Revitalizer lotion - it had a rather strong scent. But the Eye Silk is great!!

That's so interesting that you found it scented - I did not really notice it. I did however like how both were on my skin as I have the most sensitive skin and I break out from almost all products.
