Jewellery For Your Lashes?

I recently saw this advertisement for Revlon's Lash Jewels. At first glance, I thought the ad was for some exotic fake lashes but no, this product adds a little crystal-like jewel to your lashes.

Wouldn't this be fun for a night of clubbing or perfect for a Christmas event - like having mini icicles on your lashes.

How to use: Apply your favourite mascara and then twist the base of the Lash Jewel pen to dispense a small amount of liquid to the tip of your lash. Be careful not to apply too much. The solution will quickly solidify to create a multi-dimensional dazzling jewel-like bead.

Depending on your mood, there are four very fun colours: Precocious Pink, Smoldering Violet, Chrystal Gaze, Aqua Allure

I would love to know what you think about this product and what type of event you will or have worn it to.

Lash Jewel is part of the Revlon Limited Edition Collection so make sure you grab it before they are all gone.

Pamper The One You Love

I am not a mother, but I have to admit that there is really nothing cuter than a little bambino. Thymes has a wonderful collection of goodies that are perfect for that little love in your life. I found fantastic items such as gift sets, baby bars of soap and nursery mist all on the Thymes Sweetleaf Baby website.

Each product is made with only the best ultra-mild ingredients for baby - so you can be sure that 'little Lauren or Ben' will have smooth, kissably fresh skin without skin irritations.

If I was a mother I would probably splurge on these items:

Sweetleaf Baby Bar Soap Set
With moisturizing honey and the soft touch of organic lavender, chamomile and aloe vera to soothe, this all-vegetable soap tends to baby’s delicate skin as it very gently cleanses with creamy, fragrant lather.

Sweetleaf Baby Diaper Balm
Unscented and gentle enough for even the most tender newborn bottom, Sweetleaf Baby Diaper Balm provides a caring barrier against moisture and irritation; calming and comforting with organic lavender, chamomile, and aloe vera.

Sweetleaf Baby Wash/Shampoo
Born of nature, Sweetleaf Baby Wash & Shampoo tenderly cleanses baby’s delicate skin and hair without drying, tears or irritation.

For store locations and other information on Thymes products visit http://www.thymes.com/
Let me know what great products you would recommend for baby gifts or what you buy for your little ones.

Ellen Chats with Danielle Nicolet

Danielle Nicolet is the stunning actress that stars in the hit drama Heartland.

I am excited to say that even though Danielle has a busy filming schedule, I was able to obtain an interview with her. Find out what she had to say concerning her beauty secrets and regimen:

LPnP: What are your favourite beauty brands?
Danielle: The beauty item I can't live without is Burt's Bee's Shea butter lip balm. I have one stashed in every room of my house!

LPnP: What is your morning beauty routine?
Danielle: My morning routine is washing my face with Bion Glycolic face wash, followed by their follicle clearing lotion. It's a line that is hard to find, but will be available nationwide soon. I learned of it from my best friend whose facialist uses it. It changed my life!

LPnP: What is the best beauty tip your mother/grandmother ever gave you?
Danielle: The best beauty tip my grandmother ever gave me was to look in the mirror and love myself for all the reasons that I am different from everyone else. She said all the make up in the world wouldn't make me pretty if the person inside wasn't loved

LPnP: What expensive product is worth a splurge?
Danielle: The expensive product worth the splurge is facials! A good esthetician is worth much more than any face cream.

LPnP: Do you have any input as to your look for Heartland?
Danielle: I get input on Heartland only in regards to the products used. It's a show about real people, so I don't get to look very made up. My makeup artist, Stephanie, is the best and she uses all my favorite products and make up lines so that my skin will stay in great shape

LPnP: Do you see yourself as a role model for young women? How do you think you are viewed?
Danielle: I hope I am a good role model for young women. I believe the type of role model an actor is is reflected in where they are in life at the time. Right now, I am in a place where I can finally take my grandma's advice and love and accept myself more than I ever did. I hope that is reflected in the kind of roll model I am. Especially for young women of color

LPnP: When you are not working how do you like to relax?
Danielle: When I'm not working I relax by travelling. There is so much of the world I haven't seen yet! In fact, I'm doing this interview from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico right now!

LPnP: Who is your idol and why?
Danielle: My idol has no name. It is every person who stands up for what they believe in, loves deeply, laughs hard, and lives fearlessly. That's someone I strive to be every day.

Thank you to Danielle for sharing a little of herself with Lipstick, Powder 'n Paint readers. You can visit her online at http://www.daniellenicolet.com/

Jessica Simpson to Launch Celebrity Fragrance

I have it on very good authority that Jessica Simpson will be launching her own fragrance next summer. Now after her beauty line discontinuing, I am a little nervous how this will fare.

The Florida based Parlux Fragrances, who license Paris Hilton, Guess and XOXO will create this fragrance for Simpson.

Stay tuned!
