Nicollette Sheridan: Get The Look

Patrick Melville, celebrity hairstylist and owner of the Patrick Melville Salon at The Sports Club/LA at Rockefeller Center, was the man behind the gorgeous locks of Nicollette Sheridan for her visit to the David Letterman Show.

To achieve this look, Patrick applied Kiehl’s Silk Groom and then sprayed her hair with L’Oreal Ellnett. He then took a 1 1/4 inch curling iron and split the sections into one inch sections and wrapped the hair around the curling iron to create soft waves. To finalize the look, he flipped Nicollette’s head over, sprayed a little more hairspray through the hair, and pulled his fingers through curls to loosen them up.

Ask Ellen

Q: I have oily skin. I also have acne scars. My breakouts are finally at a minimum. What is the best way to cover the acne scars without causing more breakouts? Foundation, tinted moisturizers, powders, ??? HELP! Amy

A: Thanks Amy for this question. Scarring on the face can leave a person feeling self conscious. Covering them up with thick makeup is not the solution as it will bring more attention to your skin. I would like to suggest to you mineral makeup. It is great for an oilier complexion, covers up imperfections and is simple to apply.

According to mineral makeup companies, mineral makeup is pure, lacking talc and other fillers; allows the skin to breathe; is a natural sun protector; and can relieve skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Mineral-based makeup is also supposed to be gentler on skin and will provide you with a wonderful natural glow. I personally use mineral makeup and find it to be comfortable on the skin and does not cause me to breakout at all.
