Your New Year's Eve Party Look

New Year's Eve is always a fun time. I love getting all fancied up in a little black dress and really taking time with my makeup and hair. This year New Year's Eve falls on a Monday night! For most people we will be working and then off to our dinners or parties straight after work. That puts a bit of a damper on taking multiple hours to get ready.

Well my pals at Cover Girl think of everything and provided me with everything I need to look fashionably festive in minutes! The snow-kissed Cover Girl "Party Ready" Holiday Package was designed with busy holiday schedules in mind and contains products that help with quick touch-ups for on-the-go make-up application.

The Products:
Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Concealer
Eye Enhancers Cream Shadow Kit
LineExact Liquid Liner Pen in Smoke
Volume Exact Mascara in Very Black
Outlast Double Lipshine in Plum Pearl
Outlash Pressed Powder in Translucent Light
Boundless Color Nail Polish in City Lights

Paul Venoit
, the Cover Girl Makeup Pro, (whom I absolutely adore) has provided me with easy party prep tips so that I cannot make a mistake...

Freshen up with a quick touch of concealer to help neutralize redness and conceal imperfections. Don't forget to tidy up the under eye area to brighten up the look of the eyes and make them really stand out.

Whisk away excess oil with a light dusting of powder.

Eyeliner is a quick way to create instant drama. Rim the upper lash line with LineExact Liquid Liner pen in Smoke. For a more intense look, blend with shadow.

Limited-edition Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Cream Shadow Kits are a must-have for your make-up bag this holiday season. Use the lighter tones for the inner corner of the eye and under the brow .

Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes.

No look is complete without sexy shimmery lips for any party.

I think I am set. I'll just paint my finger nails with a sparkly polish and off I go!

Jemma Kidd Holiday Looks

With so many parties happening over the Holidays, I need a couple of different makeup looks. Here are two from Jemma Kidd that I found to be just fabulous.

Night Sapphire
Full on glamour and grown-up glitter for the party season.

Apply a small amount of Crushed Jewel Creme Duo Creme Shadow in Lolite at the base of the lash line and blend just beyond the socket line. Intensify by applying more layers as desired. Layer the crushed jewel glitter on top of the shadow allowing it to blend out a little way beyond the shadow at the outer corner.

Line the eyes with the Define Stay-Put Eyeliner in Electric at the root of the lashes. Use Extreme Magnify, Volume, Length & Strengthen Mascara.

Add warmth to the cheeks with the Tailored Colour Powder Blush Duo in Clear Pink/Rose.

Finish the look with the Shimmer Intense Silk Lipgloss in BonBon for lustrous colour.

Here is a photo I took at the Holt Refrew store on Bloor Street. The lovely gal that works the Jemma Kidd counter (I am so sorry I have forgotten your name!) is wearing this look. Her eyes look stunning.

Precious Metals
Cool metallic eye colours and deep red lips complement each other to give this classic look a modern twist.

Create a flawless finish by using the Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Creme in Iced Gold on top of a well blended foundation and concealer.

With either a finger tip or a brush, apply the Silver shade of the Metallica Eye Wardrobe Colour Quartet to the upper lid of the eye from the lashes to the socket line and blend well. Use a define brush to apply the Pewter shade in a curved line just above the eye socket, tapering it parallel with the brow.

Apply the Define Stay-Put Eyeliner in Pitch at the top and bottom lids, really working the product into the base of the lashes and smudge softly.

Shape and line lips with Lip Line Duo Neutral & Tailored Colour in Red, then apply the Ultimate Lipstick Duo Plumping Balm & Long Lasting Colour in Eve for the perfect crimson pout.

Jemma Kidd can be found at Neiman Marcus, Holt Renfrew and Boots.

RSVP Wanderlust

She glimmers in the daytime, shimmers in the nighttime, and dazzles all the other times in between.

Vincent Longo envisioned a vivacious and fun globe trotting gal when developing RSVP Wanderlust. "You see her in New York and Roma, Buenos Aires, Rio, London..." says Longo.

The collection is based around this season's hot colours - silver, purple and gold, and is all about glitter and shimmer.

Diamante Quad Eye Shadows - Cassini and Roja
Trio Eye Shadow - Sugar Frost
Eye Shimmer Souffles - Ultraviolet, Palladio and Argento
Duo Eye Pencil - Mystic-Sabine and Garnet Urban Nights
Water Canvas Highlighter - Mermaid Muse

These items are perfect for putting together a stunning Holiday Look. There aren't any lip products in the collection, so I would recommend Baby Balm Lipstick SPF12 in Positano or Catalina Rose to finish off your look.

Go to the website and check out the three looks Vincent Longo has created using RSVP Wanderlust.
