The BAFTA Awards

Last night I was glued to the TV watching the glamorous British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, held at the Royal Opera House in London. This event is the British equivalent to the Oscars.

Marion Cotillard
won Best Leading Actress for La Vie en Rose. She was just glowing in her sparkly Chanel dress with tousled hair.

Tilda Swinton
won Best Supporting Actress for Michael Clayton

I am sorry Tilda, but you were not looking like a winner here. The dress (Dior) looks like it has seaweed draped on it and the no makeup look makes you look too washed out.

Keira Knightley
dazzled in a grey strapless Valentino column gown.

Keira was nominated for Best Leading Actress for her work in Atonement but lost out to Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose).

Kate Hudson
glittered in her Dior gown and emerald earrings from Bulgari.

Thandie Newton wore an Alexander McQueen gown. Love the pink accent.

Jessica Biel
in a simple black Dior by John Galliano gown and more than $700,000 in Cartier diamonds. I am liking the blonde hair.

Bring on the Oscars!

I didn't even recognize Kate Hudson. Is it just me or is she starting to look quite a bit older?

Maybe. I wasn't taken with her hair this way - I love it when she has it down.
