The Colours of (Summer) Love

While some of you may be crossing off your calendar days and tapping your sky-high stilettos as the Sexy and the City movie date nears, May 30th has a different meaning for fashionistas and beauty addicts living the Los Angeles area.

To commemorate the opening of a brand-new Chanel store on Robertson Boulevard this Friday, Chanel is launching the Robertson Boulevard mini-collection of four nail polishes inspired by the hip and glam nature of the city’s high-end shopping strip.

Chanel’s Creative Director Peter Phillips designed these limited-edition lacquers, in loud, pop-art shades that scream summer pedicure (although some of you could surely work these on your digits).

Here’s a rundown of the four punchy shades:

MELROSE: a full-bodied hot pink that puts Barbie to shame.
RODEO DRIVE: a milky purple, equally subtle enough for brunch with the in-laws or drinks with the girls.
L.A. SUNRISE: a bright, sunny yellow that’s destined to take the place of your licorice shades and become your new pedicure staple.
L.A. SUNSET: a warm and creamy tangerine, an ideal standby for sandy-coloured sandals.

If you’re a plane ride away from sunny California but you’re desperate to get your paws on one (or all four) of these coveted little bottles of luxe, check out the waitlist on Chanel’s website.

We’re predicting it’ll rival Samantha’s rampant obsession with that infamous red Birkin.
