One of a Kind

This morning I attended the One of a Kind Show and found two fantastic bath care brands that I just had to share with you...

Danielle Russell is the owner and soapmaker for Botania Savons & Délices and prides herself on using quality ingredients like shea butter and olive oil in her products. Handcrafted in Quebec since 1999, these bath goodies are almost good enough to eat - take the Cupcake soap - I fell in love with a chocolate mint one. Delicious! I was also enamored by the bath balms and soap slabs.

The Caron family are the makers of spa quality bath and body products made from the finest olive oil. Originating from the Laurentian Mountains, Olive Authentique strives to create a lifestyle that brings us back to the basics of relaxation and nature.

I am a huge fan of Lavender and was informed by Pamela Caron, that lavender is their most popular fragrance and comes in a variety of products - bath salts, soap, and a body & bath oil. Hmm which one to buy...

L'Oreal Fashion Week: Day 2

The weather on Tuesday was cold and rainy, so I decided that a comfy Banana Republic sweater and jeans were the way to go - maybe not a runway look but perfect for me. Yesterday's makeup was from Clinique's Summer 2008 Collection.

Ms. Orangina

Eric Del Monaco and his team worked at creating larger than life hair styles for the NADA runway show.

Toronto-based NADA rocked the runway with her Dynasty inspired collection. Alexis Carrington - eat your heart out!

Joeffer Caoc shared a sexy Fall 2008 Collection with last night's show attendees.

The bold lip and bold eye, in hues of plum, both made an appearance in the NADA show.

I absolutely love the indigo-painted eyes the models were fashioning in the Joeffer Caoc show. This look is very wearable and I am sure we'll be seeing it in the streets this fall.

Tomorrow I will share Day 3 under the 'Tent'.

L'Oreal Fashion Week: Day 1

March 17th was St. Patrick's Day but also Day 1 of L'Oreal Fashion Week in Toronto.

This is me sitting in my office, writing articles and going through emails before leaving for downtown.

I decided to go subtle with my makeup and am wearing the Bobbi Brown Nude Palette and my L'Oreal Colour Riche Made For Me Naturals in Cashmere lippie.

The tent this year is glass fronted, allowing more light into the gathering area inside. When I arrived there was a show taking place, which is why it is so quiet outside.

The media lounge was a sea of laptops with journalists typing away at their stories or blogging.

Love the pink shoes!

Jeanne Beker of Fashion Television interviewed Russian designer Max Chernitsov.

Vancouver resident Mellinda-Mae Harlingten showed for the first time yesterday at L'Oreal Fashion Week.

Montreal based-designer Nadya Toto

Bold, graphic eyes, matte skin and nude lips were displayed on the catwalk in the Mellinda-Mae Harlington show.

Models in the Nadya Toto show smoldered with 'Sweeney Todd' eyes. Skin once again was very matte and lips were non-existent. It was all about the eyes.

Tomorrow I will share Day 2 under the 'Tent'.

Release Your Inner Leprechaun

Today, people all over the world are celebrating St. Patrick's Day. From clothing to beer to nail polish and hair – emerald green will be everywhere!

Now if you really want to feel the green, then I have just the product for you! LUCKY betty is a sassy hair colourant especially for your hair...down there.

It is perfectly safe and the non-drip formula is made with natural ingredients (Elder Flower, Cherry Bark, Chamomile, Comfrey, Rosemary and Aloe) to prevent irritation to that region. And if you want to take it a step further, there is a shamrock stencil in the box...I'll leave that to your imagination!

Oh, my mother isn't Irish
And my father isn't too,
But today I feel as Irish
As the really Irish do.
For today I wear a shamrock

That is green in every way
And though I am Canadian,
I am Irish -- for today!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I can just see my mother's face when she reads this posting tomorrow.
Hi Mum! :)
